Let’s celebrate our receptionists on #NRD16

9U8A2705The second Wednesday every May is National Receptionists’ day, a day dedicated to raising the profile of the receptionist, and it’s a day we believe really deserves to be celebrated.

Often the person with the most direct access to visitors to a building, they are the face of an organisation and have the ability to make a lasting impression on everyone who passes through the door.

At Mitie, it’s a role we specialise in through our Client Services business and we want to highlight that there’s more to the role than often meets the eye.  Our teams are trained customer service professionals whose primary focus is delivering an exceptional, memorable experience to each and every guest but the role is not just about issuing passes with a winning smile.

Our reception teams are multi-skilled, super organised and always willing to learn.  No two days are ever the same and while welcoming guests the could also be managing post, booking meeting rooms, hosting VIPs or setting-up video conferencing for external clients.

It takes someone with a passion for customer service, and the right attitude, to really excel at a reception desk. We invest heavily in training and nurture every one of our people so they can reach their full potential. It really is a career to be proud of and the development opportunities are endless for the right people.

If you’re passionate about people and delivering exceptional customer service then working for a specialist front of house supplier could be right up your street.  Find out more about some of our team here and remember to recognise your reception team on this very worthy national day.
